Explore the universe through these 3 series
In the ever-changing landscape of television, science fiction has carved its own niche, captivating audiences with its limitless imagination and futuristic worlds. Here, we delve into some of the most recent series that are quite entertaining and help us explore the universe for those of us like me who are fascinated by the vastness of the stars.
Lost in Space (2018)
As viewers embarked on a thrilling interstellar journey with the Robinson family, “Lost in Space” redefined the classic tale of survival in the vastness of space. Set in a distant future where Earth faces imminent destruction, the series follows the Robinsons as they navigate through unknown territories, encountering both friend and foe alike. With stunning visuals and gripping storytelling, “Lost in Space” captivated audiences across the globe.
This series has only three seasons and will not have a fourth, although at least it was not cancelled like the next one:
Altered Carbon (2018)
In a world where consciousness can be transferred between bodies, “Altered Carbon” takes viewers on a mind-bending journey through a dystopian future. Based on the acclaimed novel by Richard K. Morgan, the series explores themes of identity, morality, and the nature of humanity. With its slick visuals and thought-provoking narrative, “Altered Carbon” quickly became a cult favorite among sci-fi enthusiasts.
Unfortunately, despite its dedicated fanbase, “Altered Carbon” was cancelled after its second season. While the news came as a disappointment to many, the series left an indelible legacy, sparking conversations about the ethical implications of technology and the human condition.
And finally the best one and not cancelled and actually this is really the only one that we can call hard science fiction (except for the part of the “molecule”), the other are a mix between science fiction and fantasy:
The Expanse (2015)
Set in a future where humanity has colonized the solar system, “The Expanse” is a sprawling space opera that deftly blends political intrigue, interstellar conflict, and breathtaking visuals. Adapted from the bestselling novels by James S.A. Corey, the series follows a diverse cast of characters as they navigate through the complexities of life in space. With its meticulous world-building and gripping storytelling, “The Expanse” has garnered critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase.
After initially facing cancellation, “The Expanse” was saved by Amazon Prime Video, much to the delight of its fans. The series has since been renewed for multiple seasons, allowing its creators to fully realize their vision and explore the rich tapestry of its universe.
Bonus: Star Wars Universe
I must admit that I’m a huge fan of all the series within the “Star Wars” franchise. I want to dedicate a full article to all of them, but I couldn’t help but mention them in this article about space series. EDIT: HERE THE ARTICLE!
