Travel through time with Star Wars: Complete Chronological Guide

That’s right, today we’re talking about the Star Wars universe. Do you want to get started in the world of Star Wars but you’re more lost than a fish out of water and you don’t know where to start? You’re in luck! In this article, we will guide you through the complete history of Star Wars, from the dawn of the Republic to the resurgence of the Resistance, all in chronological order of the saga so that you don’t miss a single detail.
Note that this is the chronological order of the events, not the order in which they were released. If you prefer to be a purist and follow the release order, simply use the release date I have provided next to each title, or go directly to this other list by clicking here.
1. The Acolyte (Series: to be released)
Set in the High Republic, this unreleased series will delve into the mysteries of the Force and introduce us to new characters who will shape the future of the galaxy.
2. Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999)
We go back 32 years before the Battle of Yavin to meet a young Anakin Skywalker and witness the beginning of his journey to the Dark Side. In this film, we will also witness the formation of the Trade Federation and the threat it poses to the Republic.
3. Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002)
Ten years after the events of “The Phantom Menace,” the Republic is in a state of war. Anakin Skywalker, now a Jedi Padawan, falls in love with Padmé Amidala as the galaxy descends into chaos.
4. Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008-2020)
This animated series shows us the battles and events that marked the Clone Wars. We will meet new characters like Ahsoka Tano and witness Anakin Skywalker’s growth as a Jedi.
5. Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005)
The end of the prequel trilogy shows us the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Galactic Empire. Anakin Skywalker succumbs to the Dark Side and becomes Darth Vader, while Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda are forced into exile.

10. Andor (Series: 2022-present)
The series introduces us to Cassian Andor, a rebel spy who plays a key role in the fight against the Empire. In this series, we will witness Andor’s activities in the years leading up to the formation of the Rebel Alliance.
11. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
This film tells the story of a group of rebels’ mission to steal the plans for the Death Star. The film shows us the sacrifice that many made to achieve victory against the Empire.
12. Star Wars (1977)
The film that started it all introduces us to Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia in their fight against the evil Galactic Empire. In this film, we will witness the destruction of the Death Star and the victory of the Rebel Alliance.

18. Ahsoka (2023-present)
This unreleased series will introduce us to Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi who has become a key figure in the fight against the Empire. In this series, we will witness Ahsoka’s adventures as she searches for her former master, Ezra Bridger.
19. Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015)
The first installment of the sequel trilogy introduces us to a new generation of heroes who face the First Order, a new regime that has risen from the ashes of the Empire. Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron join the Resistance to fight for freedom in the galaxy.

The final film of the Skywalker saga shows us the final battle between the Resistance and the First Order. Rey faces Kylo Ren in a duel that will determine the fate of the galaxy.
