Install Stremio on iPhone, iPad and iOS
The first thing you need to know is that there is currently no Stremio app for the iOS platform, meaning you cannot go to the App Store to download it. Therefore, you won’t be able to use Stremio natively on your Apple devices, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy Stremio. At All Stremio, we have the solution to your problem.
If you search for Stremio on the App Store, you will only find the organizer version, which doesn’t have the features of the Stremio app on other devices like Android or PC and isn’t useful for watching any kind of multimedia content.
Stremio Solution for iPhone, iPad and iOS
This information has been taken from the official Stremio blog, which you can check out here. However, I want to emphasize that this solution does not allow the use of addons. If you have addons that expand multimedia content beyond the platforms you’re subscribed to, they will not work with this solution. So, if that’s your goal, be warned it won’t work, but it is useful for the rest of the content.
1. Go to the App Store and download VLC media player.
2. Open the Safari browser and go to Web Stremio. If you want to learn more about Web Stremio, click here for more information.
3. Tap on “Share” as shown in the image below, and then tap “Add to Home Screen.” This way, you will have it on your phone as if it were another app.
4. Enter your profile, go to options, and scroll down until you find advanced options, specifically “Play in an external player,” and change it to VLC.
5. Open any movie, and you’ll be able to watch it play in your VLC app.
Alternative Option: Stremio on iPhone, iPad, and iOS with Addons
There are some posts on Reddit talking about “various solutions.” From what I’ve read, these solutions involve keeping your PC on to stream content to your iOS device, but in general, nothing seems to work well. In my opinion, it’s not a viable option since you might as well watch it directly on your PC. However, I’ll share this Reddit link that may help you achieve it.
